Mrs. Garner
I remember sitting in her last period class
The way she smiled and the way she laughed
I know she's in a better place know
Watching us from heaven and smiling down
When she made fun of us because of how we prounced some words
And some of us wouldn't try and yet look at the birds
When she said doodling was for baby land, and for Saturday fun
When she called "it" and iBox, she knew we were done
When Jake needed lessons on how to close a door
And Max would start laughing and fall to the floor
When Julie enjoyed the weather, and said "There's snow"
It's hard to believe you had to go
You'll be in our hearts for ever and after
You filled our hearts with love and laughter

For a Great Teacher
Walking in the room to see; a friendly teacher looking at me; doodles on my paper; teacher saying "stop those doodles and do that later"; walking out with joyfullness; not realizing that this was a teacher I would miss; sometimes pronouncing things like a fool; teacher sayng "Oh that's baby school"; substitutes in and out; students having much doubt; what's all this fuss about?; we all heard on one sad day: that Mrs. Garner had passed away; we all miss her so; and we ask why did she have to go?

A Rhyming Poem for Mrs. Garner
Because the sun set
And I know that now you're gone,
I am glad we met
But do regret
That I must say "so long",
You were oh so excellent

I must admit,
You taught me how to say "hola, uno, y dos",
When I was down ,
you smiled and said, "Get over it!"
The time we spent was mighty fun,

but for now, "Adios"

A Great Teacher
A great teacher is not a teacher who sits around all day,
A great teacher can teach just about anything,
A great teacher helps her students,
A great teaher as a sense of humor,
A great teacher makes you learn,
A great teacher is one who makes you laugh,

A bad teacher sits at her desk all day,
A bad teaher can't teach,
A bad teacher doesn't care about her students,
A bad teacher doesn't have a sense of humor,
A bad teacher doesn't care if you learn,

My teacher was wonderful,
My teacher taught me just about everything I know about Spanish,
My teacher helped me whenever I needed help,
My teacher had the best sense of humor of all my teachers,
My teacher made me learn to get a good education,
My teacher made me laugh atleast one a day,

Now, all I want is my teacher,
Now, there is no one to teach me as good as she taught me,
Now, the day goes by even slower,
Now, I hate going into my classroom,
Now, insted of happiness I'm filled with saddness,
Now that my teacher is gone,

A Poem
The year was almost over
We were worried about you over Easter
We were all looking forward to summer and maybe another year with you
On the day of our field trip we got the tragic news that you had left us
We will never forget you and you kind a loving heart

Mrs. Garner
Its hard to say farewell to our awesome friend
She loved our class, as much time as she could spend
She was full of laughter and excellent jokes,
Durring class she starred at anyone who spoke.
All she had was her garden to be happy for,
She's still loved by everyone that's one thing for sure
She was always nice and never mean
Nobody really found that can be seen
Spanish class is still not the same
We sit our seats and smile when we hear your name
We all miss you so very much
We will never forget you so and such

Mrs. Garner
I may not have known her long,
But when she was out for three weeks- I knew something was wrong.
She made a rainy days seem sunny,
Because of her humor that was very funny.
She was polite and said, "beg your pardon",
Also she loved her garden.
Because she was the greatest teacher,
She loved to be the main feature
She loved to call us by our last names,
But she didn't like our silly mind games
Now she is looking down,
And absolutly without a frown

Teachers
When God created teachers,
He gave us special friends
To help us understand His world
And truly comprehend
The beauty and the wonder
Of everything we see,
And become a better person
With each discovery.
When God created teachers,
He gave us special guides
To show us ways in which to grow
So we can all decide
How to live and how to do
What's right instead of wrong,
To lead us so that we can lead
And learn how to be strong.
Why God created teachers,
In His wisdom and His grace,
Was to help us learn to make our world
A better, wiser place.

A Poem
by Kevin William Huff

Teachers paint their minds
and guide their thoughts
Share their achievements
and advise their faults

Inspire a Love
of knowledge and truth
As you light the path
Which leads our youth

For our future brightens
with each lesson you teach
Each smile you lengthen
Each goal you help reach

For the dawn of each poet
each philosopher and king
Begins with a Teacher
And the wisdom they bring

Words of Loss
Every thought I think seems to lead to you
Because I can no longer say, "How do you do?"
I didn't notice anything; not even a cough,
Now your dead body tends to throw me off.

When I enter that one special room,
I think of you as awesome,
Sometimes I believe that today you arre living
Then I see the substitute teaching.

I do not know why this came to be,
then the words "breast cancer" became the key;
If I knew this fact when you were present,
I never would have sighed in class
And
I'd have the chance to say goodbye.
